a mental health conference not to miss
APA Labs presents "Inside the Lab" (10/30-10/31 - Austin TX)
Some conferences make people want to run outside and network instead of sitting through another panel.
That’s why I’m psyched for “Inside the Lab” run by APA Labs (Oct 30–31, Austin).
It’s not a typical conference - the premise is simple: founders, clinicians, payers, health systems, and investors in one room, give them real case studies, and work the problem together.
As an investor, I know that most innovation in mental health fails in execution. Plenty of good ideas out there.
APA Labs’ reach and ability to transform the industry is unparalleled. And their reach doesn’t dilute their dedication to access, equity and affordability.
The format of the conference will integrate collaboration. From AMAs, fireside chats and lighting talks. What’s most exciting is the Collaborative Labs portion - small, cross-functional working groups, tackling a case study with an expert. Facilitators guide; nobody lectures.
Who
They’re putting serious people in the room:
-
Chris Mosunic (Chief Clinical Officer, Calm),
-
Rebecca Whiting-Holliday (Head of Global Mental Health and High Performance, Google),
-
Dr. Arthur C. Evans Jr. (CEO, American Psychological Association),
-
Nick Ganopoulos (Investor and Venture Builder at Evio.vc & Founder, Viveo).
I’ll be speaking as well!
APA Labs and Evio are very aligned in how we actually build: clinical grounding, fast iteration with scalable/accessible business models.
Hope to hang out with you if you’re there (shoot me an email if you’re coming at shiv AT gimbhi DOT com)
